Design with Intention
Meet Aime
Aime Van Dyck is the founder and creative director of AVD Interiors. Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, she designs with a focus on flow, function, and feeling, crafting spaces that are refined, authentic, and deeply liveable.
Before moving into design, Aime built her career as an executive assistant in fast-paced corporate environments, where she honed her ability to manage details, juggle competing priorities, and bring clarity to complex projects. Her background also includes time spent in retail and the beauty industry, sharpening her eye for composition, tone, and experience.
Her approach to interiors is both structured and intuitive. Aime is drawn to layered, tactile materials, clean architecture, and spaces that quietly speak to their surroundings. She’s particularly passionate about spatial flow and planning, how a space breathes, how people move through it, and how design can support that rhythm.
Aime collaborates closely with her husband Luke, a builder with over 20 years of experience, on select design and build projects. Together, they offer clients a considered, hands-on approach that fuses creativity with craftsmanship and design thinking with practical know-how.
Outside of work, Aime is most at home by the ocean, coffee in hand, with her three kids and husband in tow. She’s driven by big ideas, clean lines, and a relentless desire to create spaces that feel as good as they look.
